Today we’d like to introduce a new segment on the Kanavice Sisters website. From now on, I will post my favorites every Friday. Hence the name Friday Favorites. My favorites will mainly revolve around creativity. This will range from embroidery to great food. I will share images that impressed me this week.

The last couple weeks have not been great to say the least. Although I definitely have days during which I feel down all day, I now try to focus on things that give me energy. That includes embroidery and cross stitching, my Instagram page and this website. But especially during this time, I greatly appreciate motivational quotes like the ones below.
And look at this next one. Doesn’t this cookie look too pretty to eat? But it also looks so yummy, it would be hard to resist! But the thing that impressed me most are the words. It made me realize that we are all on our own path and comparing yourself to others is not productive.

A hint of magic
I’ve made it pretty obvious that I am really like magic and fairytales. So of course I had to dedicate a section of my Friday Favorites to just that. I mention princesses and Disney on both my Instagram as well as this website quite often. My projects also regularly have a princess or Disney theme. But I am also a major Harry Potter fan (especially the books). You may have noticed the beautiful Jim Kay illustrated Harry Potter books in my Instagram stories. However, I just realized I haven’t actually made any Harry Potter embroidery or cross stitch projects. Yet. I just added it to my to-do list.
I do often see beautiful Harry Potter themed embroidery projects, like this one. Wouldn’t this bag be perfect to carry around your HP bookings?
I often come across such fun Disney-themed DIY projects. I’ve noticed that this is particularly popular in the US, maybe I can help introduce it in the Netherlands ;).
This one below has both a Disney and nautical theme. I mean, I am just sold.
