Cross stitch Fairytales

Once upon a time…

How we adore stories that begin with those words. We loved fairytales growing up and continue to do so today. That’s why we try to give everything in our daily lives a magic touch. We loved incorporating the fairytale theme in preparing for the arrival of our newest family member. What better way then to cross stitch a fairytale.

The pattern

Veronique Enginger is our favorite cross stitch pattern designer. She designa the most delicate patterns with so much details and gorgeous colors. Her book “Fables” has a fairytale and folklore tale theme and there isn’t a pattern in that book that I don’t love. The first pattern I decided to stitch was the ‘Sleeping Beauty’ pattern. After I finished it, my mom turned it into a pillow. We were so excited to find a beautiful fabric with stars on them as we thought that fits Sleeping Beauty perfectly. It’s just a cross stitch fairytale.

In addition, Sermin also stitched some other designs from this book; ‘Cinderella’ and ‘Beauty and the Beast’ which is used as decoration in the baby’s room.

Aren’t these details just perfect for a little princess?
